This 1904 catalog illustrates some of the best American art noveau items
ever made. Unger Brothers, a Newark, NJ, firm known for their exceptional art noveau designs, is presented here at their very best. This reprint includes a historical essay by Janet Zapata and an
introduction by Ulysses Dietz. Of the 3200 total illustrations:
213 are flatware (mostly Douvaine - some Fontenoy, Narcissus & Passaic),
207 are holloware (tea sets, bowls, cups, trays, candlesticks, etc.), 960 are jewelry (lorgnettes, belt pins, brooches, hatpins, chatelaines, fobs, etc.), 70 are sewing articles,
451 are brushes, combs & other toilet items, 255 are desk objects, 94 are tobacco related items (matchsafes, cigar cutters, cigarette cases, etc.) and more are: umbrella handles, flasks, shaving
items, pin cushions vases, bookmarks, baby rattles, etc., etc.
