Liberty Browne Coin Silver Creamer, Baltimore, c. 1800
This lovely helmet-form creamer is a wonderful, early example by Baltimore maker Liberty Browne. Browne's silver is rarely seen on the market today. The classic shape of a slender body with flaring spout is elegantly ornamented with fine beading
around the rim, base of the body and circular edge of the pedestal foot on a square plinth base. A later inscription of 'RLB/ Oct 16 1883' is on one side.
This extremely rare creamer is marked on the outside foot 'L. Browne'. It measures 7.25 inches high to the top of the handle, weighs 5.75 troy ounces and is in good antique
condition with some surface scratches.
