These rare and early bottle tickets are in an uncommon crescent and urn shape. Fine neoclassical bright cut engraving decorates the tickets as does the engraved 'PORT' and 'CLARET' designations.
These sterling tickets are hallmarked on the back with their maker's mark (all that was required on smalls before the 1790 hallmarking revisions). Innes was a
very good smalls makers working from from 1742-58. They measure just under 2 inches wide and are in wonderful antique condition.
