Durgin, from Concord, New Hampshire, made some wonderful silver and these beautiful salts are of great quality in a wonderful design. Bulbous, oval bodies are decorated with foliate and floral repousse and the rims are a cast and applied
border of scrolls and shells. Four stunning cast ram's heads are applied at the edges with protruding legs and hooves. 
These lovely salts are marked underneath with Durgin's trademark and 'STERLING/ 30'. They measure 3.25 inches long by 2.5 inches wide by 1.5 inches high. They weigh a combined 8.15 troy
ounces, have never been engraved and are in excellent condition with wear light scratches to the original gilded interiors.
