Shiebler Sterling Silver Aesthetic Movement Fish Knives, New York, c. 1880's - 2
Shiebler made some of the greatest aesthetic movement designs in both holloware and flatware. These unusual fish knives are flat-handled solid silver, designed with a nautical
motif. The irregular wavy handles and sea grass motif on both sides is quite beautiful. The long, narrow blade is slightly curved. The heavy gauge on these knives make
them very suitable to be used as master butter knives.
These lovely sterling silver knives are marked with Shiebler's winged 'S' trademark and 'STERLING'. They measure 7.5 inches long, weigh 1.60 troy ounces and are in
very good antique/ excellent condition.
