William Meyers Sterling Silver Pie Server, c. 1920-1940

This is a beautiful sterling silver pie server by William B. Meyers Co. from Newark, New Jersey.  While his work is rarely seen on the market today, it known to be of very high quality. This design is inspired by Danish modernism - especially the handle which is very similar to Jensen’s specialty pattern ‘number 57’. The large, flat blade is wonderfully pierced and resembles a tree when held upright.

This rare sterling silver server is marked with Meyer’s ‘m’ mark along with ‘STERLING/ HANDMADE’.  It measures 10.25 inches long, weighs 4.90 troy ounces, has never been monogrammed and is in very good antique condition.
