Durgin Louis XV Sterling Strawberry Forks - 18
It's been a long time since we've had a set of strawberry forks, not to mention a set of 18!! This beautiful set was made by Durgin, from Concord, New Hampshire, and the pattern was first patented in 1890. The design is a variety of shells, scrolls and swirls mixed together in a rococo style. The cartouche at the top is monogrammed with a block 'A'. These belonged to the Ames family of Massachusetts. The forks are marked on the back with the Durgin 'D' and sterling. They measure just under 5" long and are in exceptional condition.
Provenance: The Ames Family of North Easton, Mass.
