Whiting 'Imperial Queen' Pattern Sterling Silver Luncheon or Dessert Forks, c. 1900, set of 11
'Imperial Queen' is a beautiful pattern with shells and foliate decoration. Beneath the large shell at the top is an engraved cursive style 'GHG' monogram. While we would call these luncheon forks, at the time they were called dessert forks.
These lovely sterling silver forks are marked with Whiting's trademark and 'STERLING/ PAT 1893'. They measures 7 inches long, weigh a combined 17.60 troy ounces and are in very good antique
condition.
Whiting made this pattern in different weights for different markets. These are heavy and were expensive when sold.
