Gorham Aesthetic Movement Sterling & Other Metals Mixed Metal Serving Spoon, c. 1880
This rare serving spoon, probably originally meant as a sugar spoon, has a beautifully hammered surface which sparkles.  Applied at the top is a bronze branch, hanging from which are two bronze berries and
two leaves, one bronze, one gilt sterling. The elongated bowl retains most of its original gilding.
This lovely spoon is marked with Gorham's trademark and 'STERLING & OTHER METALS'. It measures 6.25 inches long, weighs 1.05 troy ounce, has never been monogrammed and is in very
good antique condition.
