French 1st Standard (.950) Silver and Mother-of-Pearl Dessert or Tea Knives - 12, Jn Meneyroi, Paris, c. 1900.
This wonderful set of knives was made in French 1st standard silver which is better than sterling. They feature all silver blades, with silver serrules and tips at the end of the mother-of-pearl handles. Both the tips and ferrules are deeply die-stamped with floral and rococo details.
Jn Meneyroi worked at 160 rue St. Martin in Paris during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Each knife bears the maker’s mark along with the Paris 1st standard (Menerve) mark. They measure 8 inches long have never been monogrammed and are in very good antique condition. (One handle has a small, nearly unnoticable, crack.)
