Acorn, Jensen's most famous and best-selling pattern, was created by the great designer Johan Rohde. Made from heavy gauge silver, it features a tapered, fluted handle with a bold, stylized acorn
perched atop a pierced, double scroll ornament.
According to Georg Jensen Silversmithy: 77 Artists, 75 Years (Washington: Renwick Gallery, 1980, p. 14), the Acorn pattern was first introduced in 1915 with 'sterling
silver with stainless steel blades....'

This lovely service is marked 'GEORG JENSEN/ STERLING/ DENMARK'. The length of the knives is 8.75 inches long. The total weight of the service less the
knives and serving pieces is 73.25 troy ounces. The service has never been monogrammed and is in excellent antique condition.
