This is a large punch bowl with wonderful, robust repoussé designs of chrysanthemums against a finely stippled background. The striking floral scenery flows upwards from the applied circular ring base. The round shield on the front is wonderfully engraved ‘PA’. The underside is inscribed with the presentation ‘To/ Peter Arrington/ from/ His business associates in/ the leaf department in China’.
This wonderful example of Chinese Export Silver is marked 'HUNGCHONG&CO’ along with some ideograms. It measures 12 inches in diameter and 6.75 inches high, weighs 53.60 troy ounces and is in very good antique condition.
