Pair of English Sterling Candelabra by John Roberts & Co, Sheffield, 1809/10 with Antique Sheffield Plate Candelabra Branches
This is a beautiful pair of early 19th century sterling candle sticks with their original bobeche and original antique Sheffield plate scroll-arm branches. The beauty of these
sticks is conveyed through the plain elegant surface. Gadroon banding decorate the outer edges of the raised pedestal bases, the bottom edges and top shoulders of the columns
and the rims of the detachable bobeche. An armorial of a lion is engraved on the bases and bobeche. For an even more elegant setting, 2-arm antique
Sheffield Plate branches can be used. The arms are curved and fluted and the wax pans and removable bobeche are decorated with identical gadroon banding. The central
candle holder also unscrews should you care to use a lower central candle.

the case with most antique Sheffield plate, the branches are unmarked. The candlesticks measure 12 inches high. With the branches, they measure 20 inches high by 17 inches
across. The felt on the bottom is new and they are in wonderful antique condition.
