Tiffany & Co. 'Palmette' Sterling Silver Tomato Server, mid 20th century

Influenced by European modern design, 'Palmette', introduced in 1947, is an unusual deco-style pattern.  The round bowl exhibits beautiful floral aesthetic pierce work.  

This lovely server is stamped on the back 'TIFFANY & CO/ STERLING/ M/ PAT'.  It measures 7.75 inches long, weighs 2.95 troy ounces, has never been monogrammed and is in very good condition with light surface scratches.
