Sometimes referred to as ‘Paisley’, this lovely handle is designed with exotic swirling and foliate patterns.  The large, circular, gilt bowl is wonderfully pierced in the form of a flower. The back of the handle is plain and engraved ‘DAW’ at the top.
This rare pea spoon is marked with Davis & Galt’s trademark, ‘STERLING’ and by the Boston retailer ‘BIGELOW, KENNARD & CO. It measures 9.25 inches long, weighs 2.60 troy ounces and is in very good antique condition with light even wear to the original gilding.
