Irish Silver ‘Star’ Pattern Dessert Spoons by John Sheils, Dublin, 1796.
This lovely set of six Irish silver spoons have nice bright-cut engraving up the sides of the handle which cross at the top and form a shield around an engraved ‘L’ monogram. An engraved star decorates the top of the handle.
These rare spoons are all fully hallmarked (a little rubbed) on the back. They measure 6.5 inches long, have a combined weight of 4.75 troy ounces and are in good antique condition (a few minor dings in a couple bowls).
