This is a lovely platter or stuffing spoon in the classic
Fiddle Thread pattern which decorates both the front and back of the handle. At the top of the handle is an engraved crest of a bird (a dove?) a branch. This serving spoon is made from heavy
gage silver.
Thomas Wilkes Barker first registered his mark in 1804 in London. He apprenticed under the great spoonmaker William Fearn.
This wonderful serving spoon is fully hallmarked. It measures 12 inches long, weighs a hefty 5.05 troy ounces and is in very good antique condition with light surface scratches.
