This lovely arts & crafts sterling tea strainer from the shop of Arthur Stone features a circular, shallow bowl with round piercing in the form of a flower. The shaped handles with shoulders have a finely chased decorative line border.
This wonderful tea strainer is marked with Stone's trademark along with 'STERLING' and the 'B' for Charles W. Brown, a spoonmaker working from 1912-37. (Brown was only one of seven
silversmiths who received the designation of 'Medalist' from the Society of Arts & Crafts in Boston – it's highest award). It measures 8 inches long, weighs 2.25 troy
ounces and are in very good condition with normal surface wear.
