Arthur Stone Sterling Silver Bon Bon Server, 1909-12
An early and uncommon serving piece is this petite bon bon server. It features a short handle with a simple cut edge. The flattened top is engraved 'G.C.H.' and the blade has a
lovely point with a beveled edge. Sylvanus E. Lamprey is listed as a Spoonmaker and Line Chaser with working dates from 1909-1912. He achieved 'Master Craftsman' status at
the Society of Arts & Crafts, Boston (Arthur J. Stone 1847-1938 Designer and Silversmith by Elenita Chickering, pp 180-181). 
This lovely sterling silver server is marked underneath with Stone's impressed hammer mark along with 'STERLING/ L'. It measures just over 4.5 inches long, weighs 0.70
troy ounces and is in excellent antique condition.
