This exquisite tea caddy is shaped with a cylindrical body, steeple top and detachable lid. Reinforcing the foot is simple banding applied around the base.
Elegant and fine engraving decorate the body including laurel wreaths around the base and cover and hanging swags around the top of the body. A stunning and
artistic 'MP' monogram also adds beauty to the piece. 
This wonderful tea caddy is marked underneath with Gorham's hallmark and 'STERLING/ ^)/ B'. The 'B' is the year mark used in 1869. It measures just under 3.75 inches round by 5.25 inches
high, weighs 9.75 troy ounces and is in excellent condition.
