S. Kirk & Son Co. Repousse Sterling Silver Caster, early 20th c.

This large sized caster features flowing floral and foliate repousse work against a stippled background. The detachable, domed cover continues the design and is pierced in a circular design.  The plain base and area around the neck frame the body and contrast nicely to show off the design of various flowers.

This lovely sterling caster is marked underneath 'S. Kirk & Son Co 925/1000', a mark used from 1896- c. 1910. It measures 6.5 inches high, weighs 5.95 troy ounces and is in excellent and crisp antique condition.
