Albert Coles Engraved Sterling Silver Pudding or Vegetable Server, c. early 1870's

This lovely server spoon has an unusual shape with an elongated, rounded blade with a decorative wavy and fluted top edge.  Both the blade and handle are beautifully engraved with lily of-the-valley.  The handle is engraved with a gothic style 'L' monogram. 

This wonderful and rare sterling silver server is marked on the back with Albert Coles trademark and 'STERLING'.  It measures 9.75 inches long, weighs 2.60 troy ounces and is in good antique condition showing light wear from use.
