Tiffany & Co. 'Saratoga' (a.k.a. 'King's' or 'Cook') Pattern Sterling Silver Berry Scoop, 1875-1891
Originally named 'King's', the Saratoga pattern by Tiffany is a beautiful interpretation of French-style King's patterns that feature classical elements on the front
and back of the handles. This is a rare and early example of flatware by Tiffany & Co. who first started producing their own flatware in 1869.
This wonderful berry scoop is marked on the back 'TIFFANY & CO/ STERLING/ PAT. 1870/ M'. According to Tiffany Silver
Flatware by William Hood, this particular 'M' mark was used on flatware from 1875-91. It measures 9.25 inches long, weighs 3.35 troy ounces and is in good antique
condition with a slightly noticeable monogram removal on the back of the handle.
