Shiebler 'Corinthian' Pattern Antique Sterling Silver Tea Spoons, set of 10, New York, c. 1870's
This lovely set of spoons is made in an unusual design called 'Corinthian'. It features a highly decorated handle top first designed circa 1876. the backs
of the handles are engraved 'LHAC'.
First designed and made by important New York City silversmith John Polhamus in 1868, the pattern was continued when George Shiebler bought his firm in 1874.
These wonderful tea spoons are marked with Shiebler's winged 'S' mark and 'STERLING. They measure 5.75 inches long, weigh a total 9.60 troy ounces and are in very good/excellent antique condition.
