Befitting an elegant ladle is the wonderful 'Watteau' pattern with fine foliate scrolls and a few flowers in bloom. This fine pattern decorates both sides of the graceful, curved long handle. The reserve at the top is engraved with a wonderful 'CP' monogram in a lovely foliate cursive
script. The shaped bowl with a lightly gilded interior has pouring lips on both sides.
This lovely ladle is marked with Durgin's trademark, 'STERLING' and by the Philadelphia retailer 'J. E. CALDWELL & CO'. It measures 15 inches long, weighs 5.65 troy ounces and is in very good antique
condition with a couple minor scratches inside the bowl.
