Shiebler 'Chrysanthemum' Pattern Sterling Silver Decanter, c. 1890's
A lovely, dense design of chrysanthemums cover the neck of this wonderful piece. The bulb-shaped base is engraved on
one section 'FEC'. The removable stopper has applied chrysanthemum decoration. This can be used as a decanter and also makes an elegant vase.
Shiebler's 'Chrysanthemum' pattern is rare in flatware, and and only the second piece of holloware in this pattern we've had to sell.
This great sterling silver decanter is
stamped underneath with Shiebler's trademark and 'STERLING/ 2386'. It measures 10 inches high, weighs 11.90 troy ounces and is in very good antique condition with minor dings to the base.
