Gorham Sterling Child's Cup, c. 1873

Cast elements and hand-engraving create a classic example of a child's cup made by Gorham.  The rim and base are constructed with a cast and applied ring of silver along with a simple bead decoration.  Attached to the side is a cast and applied handle decorated with Gorham's signature rosette.  Wonderful engraving adorns the sides of the cup.  The front is engraved with the initials 'PAF'.

This beautiful cup is stamped with Gorham's trademark, 'STERLING/ 107/ F' with the 'F' being Gorham's 1873 date mark.  This cup measures 3.5 inches high by 4.25 inches across the handle, weighs 6.25 troy ounces, retains its original gilded interior and is in very good condition.
